Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you and your loved ones enjoyed a safe, restful summer and are as excited as we are to begin another incredible year together at Date Elementary School.

As I proudly begin my 11th year at Date Elementary, I continue to be inspired by the dedication of our students, staff, and families. Together, we have built a culture of excellence, and I am excited to share a few highlights as we begin another school year:

• California Distinguished School – In 2025, Date Elementary was recognized as a California Distinguished School, one of the state's highest honors for public schools, recognizing our commitment to academic excellence and student success.
• Platinum PBIS School – We earned the Platinum Award for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for the sixth consecutive year, demonstrating our continued commitment to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for every student.
• Academic Growth – While we are awaiting the official release of this year's California assessment results, our preliminary data shows continued growth in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. We are excited about our students' progress and look forward to sharing even more exciting news once the state releases the official results.
